'The Dog Strangler' Collioure Rouge, Consolation 2008
The old name for the Mourvedre grape was 'the dog strangler', for it's ferocious tannins.  This wine is 100% Mourvedre.  The very best grapes were crushed into an open new-oak barrel and foot-worked heavily during a six week maceration, to give a big, bold and structured wine.  It is subsequently aged in old oak. £35.00

Vina Chocalan Cabernet Franc Riserva 2006
This silky, jammy style is full of ripe black and blue berry flavours. Cool breezes from the Andes, and proximity to the Pacific allow the grapes to develop fully, giving a voluptuous, fruity finish. £18.00
